Enjoy local pies and cheeses at authentic Greek bakeries and cheese stores. Next, wander through the meat and fish market, the living monument markets of the city. Try some home-grown and roasted coffee, and visit specialty shops to purchase fresh fruit, olives, cheese, ham and other deli produce. Enjoy some local wine, organic produce olive oil and honey, seven years old aromatized vinegars and the world famous Greek yoghurt produced at family farms, at a small shop that sells awesome gifts for your friends back home. Irene was simply the best. We really enjoyed the tour because of the time she took to explain everything and truly share Greece rich food culture. We will forever cherish our experience and would highly recommend it to anyone who want to enjoy a good time while enjoying great Greek food.

We did this trip on our first full day in Athens and it was so beneficial as we then knew places to eat and drink. If we had not done the trip we probably would not have ventured to those parts of Athens. Our guide Irene was lovely thank you

We had a great private tour (we were the only one) with Irini our amazing guide (sorry if I misspelled the name!). This was a great way to find new places and learn more about the Greek cuisine. This is not our first time to Greece and we already know the food, but Irini showed us new places and gave us a locals perspective. Walking down the street wity her, she is constantly greeted by everyone and you can tell she knows the area well. We ended up coming back to some of the places we visited with her and got to buy a lot of good local products like sausage, spices and coffee. We definitely recommend!
