This tour efficiently covers three places (four, if you count the Corinth canal stop) in one day. Easy to book and easy to communicate. It is a bit rushed for Nafplio stop but if you are short on time and don't need a deep dive to the archaeological sites, this tour is all you need. The transportation was comfortable and the drive was pleasant. Our tour guide is enthusiastic, friendly and really made an effort to accommodate people's different needs. One suggestion is if the tour can be extended another 1-2 hours in Nafplio, it would be perfect!
Day 1: Athens, Corinth Canal, ancient Corinth, Mycenae, Nafplio – Olympia Your private 3-day tour will start from Athens early in the morning. Drive towards the scenic coastal road of Athens to the magnificent structure of the Corinth Canal, which is in Peloponnese, the southern peninsula of Greece. The canal connects the Saronic with the Corinthian Gulf in the Aegean Sea - a dream of the ancients, that came true in 1893. Have time for some rest and some amazing photos above the canal. Leave Isthmos and drive to the ancient Corinth (the city of Apollo and Aphrodite, plus one of the most important visits of St. Paul, where he lived for almost 2-years doing important missionary work). Ancient Corinth was an important city state during the ancient years, the richest and most famous port of ancient Greece. Make a short stop for some great photos and rest. There, you will vi...
Your tour will begin outside the Acropolis, where you can best appreciate the magnificent Cyclopean Walls. The size of the boulders and the perfection of the construction can not help but impress anyone who sees them. The Lions’ Gate is unforgettable, with the two lions that guard the city also intimidating all intruders. But Mycenae was above all else a place where people lived; the Granary by the Gate reminds us of their dietary requirements. The Grave Circle was long considered to be the burial ground of King Agamemnon and amazed the archaeologists with the famous gold masks and other precious objects they unearthed. The Great Ramp was the main thoroughfare that everybody followed on their way to the palace. The Megaron, with its impressive hearth, was the heart of the acropolis, where Agamemnon would hold council and welcome his guests. The Secret Cistern remains as impressive and d...

If you’re interested in ancient Greece history and staying in Athens, this is a perfect choice for you. Mycenae and Epidaurus are must-see destinations for everyone who enjoys visiting and learning about ancient landmarks and Napflio is a beautiful coastal city with many instagrammable spots. Athena & Gary were very helpful, funny and entertaining guides. They shared with us a lot of information about visited places, history of Greece, Greek mythology and modern Greek language & culture. We were travelling with a small group of 7 people from 4 different countries what made our trip even more interesting. The guides were open to adjust the schedule to our need so in Nafplio one part of the group enjoyed lunch while the other were walking around the city. Meeting point was very easy to access via metro and travelling by bus was great because we had a chance to see some really beautiful coastal landscapes. All Covid-related safety rules were followed. Highly recommended!!
Theodore and Athena were informative, friendly and flexible. Really great guides who know everything there is to know about Greek history and mythology. Do take the opportunity to pick their brains! We had an affordable lunch in Nafplio and although this tour does not pick you up from your airport, it is easy to get to the meeting place- a metro stop. We did not find it a problem. We were also able to safely keep our suitcases on the bus during the day. Would recommend.
Our guide was very professional. Bill speaks Spanish very well, we learned a lot of things on our excursion. We recommend it without any hesitation and we will do another excursion if we come back to Athens.
A very nice trip, we saw many things in a day. Our guide Bill was very nice and interesting, we loved how he told us mythological stories on our way to the sites. Recommended.
Small group, well knowledge guide, on time, meeting point is out of traffic jam.
