Overall the VR tour was good. It had good information, it was cool to be able to visualize what the buildings may have looked like, and I enjoyed it being self-guided (helped avoid the cruise ship crowds!). Also, the collection and information on how to use it was great. The drawback was that it didn’t always recognize where we were (even after trying the trick we were advised). But this wasn’t the end of the world because we just listened to the information and when we reached the physical sign that corresponded we listened again. Also, I would try and use it when the site was less crowded, as it was a bit disconcerting effectively being blind and having people jostle around you. But I’d consider using it again for another site.

My journey through the site of Olympia with the virtual reality headset was simply incredible. I found myself immersed in the heart of history, walking among the ancient ruins and feeling the unique energy of this place. The staff remain open to feedback, and future improvements are sure to make this experience even more captivating. It'll certainly be worth another visit 😊

Using the virtual reality glasses and the accompanying narrative really brought Olympia to life. Much of the place is ruins and it is very interesting to see what it would have looked like and hear about the culture of the people at the time. I very much recommend using this.
