Paris: Skip-the-Line Arc de Triomphe Rooftop Tickets

1. Paris: Skip-the-Line Arc de Triomphe Rooftop Tickets

The Arc de Triomphe is a Neoclassical take on the ancient Roman triumphal arch style. Fifty meters tall, the view from the platform atop the arch is well worth the hike. See the dozen Parisian avenues radiating out from the arch into the City of Light. Paris is one of the most fascinating places in the world and you will find yourself right at its center. Inspired by the great arches of ancient Rome, Napoleon commissioned the Arc de Triomphe shortly after his victory at Austerlitz. Unfortunately, he never lived to see its completion. At the base of the arch, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier pays tribute to the 1.3 million French soldiers who died in World War I. Behold the eternal flame that is rekindled at 6.30 PM each evening. In addition, there is a must-see exhibition which explains the symbolic importance of this monument. The view from the top of the arch is worth climbing the 284 stairs. From your privileged position, survey all of Paris. Unlike the obligatory Eiffel Tower trip, getting into the Arc de Triomphe is an effort not all tourists undertake. Plus, with skip-the-line tickets, you'll hardly have to break stride on your way in. From 18 September to 4 October, discover L'Arc de Triomphe, Wrapped project, a work that Christo wished to be continued after his death. L’Arc de Triomphe, Wrapped will use 25,000 square meters of recyclable polypropylene fabric in silvery blue and 3,000 meters of red rope. The Arc de Triomphe remains open to a limited number of people who will be able to access the rooftop, be at the heart of the work of art, walk on the fabric that will also cover the floor, and enjoy the panoramic view. Come and share this unforgettable moment, with a reserved time slot to enter the monument.

What people are saying about Arc de Triomphe

Isabel was wonderful. She knew her history well and was very personable. We were a bit late but she wasn’t at all bothered by that. We walked along Champs Elysee as she gave us all kinds of history and fun facts. She was great with our girls too! There was a little hiccup with the Laudree but she made it work. Would gladly book again if we ever return to Paris.

It was amazing, you will get a unique view in Paris and we were in 5 minutes in arc because we could skip the line because of GetYourGuide. We had no tickets before and there was a huge queue, so we decided not to go on top of arc. Then we saw the ticket office of GetYourGuide. Well we were in a minute on top! It was perfect.

There are a lot of stairs and it was challenging for some who are less than fit. There is a small museum and a film which were informative. The views were awesome from the top.

So glad we read the others great reviews. Used the app to book and skipped the really long ticket line. The views of the city were beautiful!!!

Alain was so friendly, professional, and creative! One of our favorite experiences so far! Thank you so much!
