Full description

Discover some of the most picturesque islands near Krabi on a day trip by longtail boat, with stops for swimming and snorkeling in clear blue waters. Relax on tranquil beaches and snap fantastic photos of the stunning scenery.

Start the tour directly from your hotel in Krabi with pickup by minivan. Meet the crew and board the wooden longtail boat at Nopparat Thara Pier in Ao Nang. Head over to the first of the four islands, with a short stopover at Railay Beach to pick up fellow explorers. Visit the world-renowned Phra Nang Cave Beach on Railay. Admire views of vertical limestone cliffs, lush green jungle, white beaches, and clear turquoise waters. Visit the Princess Cave at the end of the beach, where fishermen make offerings in the form of incense and flowers to ensure safe voyages. Continue to Poda Island, famous for its white beaches and turquoise water. Spot the huge rock in front of the island, featured on countless postcards, so don’t miss the opportunity to snap your own photo memory here. After some swimming and snorkeling, enjoy a Thai-style boxed picnic lunch on the beach. Next, cruise around the “head” of Chicken Island, notable for the oddly-shaped rocky outcrop that gave it its name. Here also makes for an excellent photo opportunity.

The next stop is at Koh Tub where you can walk across the spectacular sandbar that connects it to the Chicken and Mor Islands nearby. After your stroll, head back on the return leg of your adventure to the pier in Ao Nang.

The trip was overall very nice and we enjoyed most of it. However, as others already outlined, the islands may be quite overcrowded with tourists, especially when the weather is somewhat stormy (you can never predict it in the morning). Also, we can hardly call the trip on a longtail boat pleasant in such weather. It was rather scary for us than pleasant, especially on the way back from the islands (we were just sitting with our eyes shut for 40 minutes and waiting for it to be finally over). Couldn't believe we were on the shore when it finally ended. Still, it was very nice to see the islands, even though next time we would prefer to go by speedboat which feels much more sturdy and stable in any weather.

Amazing tour, very well organised, staff was lovely and very kind. Our guide Ariel made it even more special she had a good knowledge about everything and was funny. Koh Poda island is a paradise, at all stops we had enough time to wander around, take pictures and chill. I highly recommend this trip. Thank you very much!
