Shop like a local at the fruit market, and prepare traditional Greek recipes with a cooking class. Then, feast on a delicious homemade lunch in an idyllic family environment. Meet your local food expert at the Old Port and stroll through the narrow alleys to Corfu’s open market. Together with your host, buy organic products harvested from the Corfiot fields only hours before. Embrace the vibrant atmosphere, and feel the smell of fresh fish, vegetables, fruit, and herbs. Next, stop by a local's deli shop to buy milk, cheese, and bread baked in an oven. Once ready with the supplies, the host will take you to a country home where the chef will show you how to prepare and cook traditional Greek recipes using a wood oven. Enjoy some local delicacies as a welcome gift. Decide if you prefer to participate “hands-on”, or just watch the cooking preparation. Whichever your choice, spend a few relaxing hours as part of a Greek family. After the cooking class ends, experience the unique Greek hospitality and atmosphere with a delicious meal and good company, before transferring back to Corfu Town.

What people are saying about Ano Korakiana

From the moment Yorgas picked me up at Gouvia Marina, I knew from his welcoming smile, that I was in for a great day! “George” was a mine of information about the history of Corfu and with his impeccable English, revealed fascinating stories. Our walk to pick up produce for our lunch was leisurely and informative. But the best was yet to come! George drove us through beautiful countryside to his own home in the hills, where we were greeted to a feast far beyond my expectations. Our small group of 8 donned our jazzy black aprons and were put to work, chopping, grating and peeling in preparation for our truly delicious traditional Greek lunch. From the bruschetta, to the baked apple, I had an amazing time snd have recommended George to our fellow sailing friends. To top it off, George just sent me the recipes from our great day and added his mum’s moussaka! Thank you George for the best day in Corfu! I will be back next year!

A great day with George and family! I was picked up and taken to Corfu town where we shopped for ingredients for the cookery lesson and had some little tasters on the way. We then went to George’s beautiful home and prepared all the food to be eaten in his glorious outdoor kitchen. It was eaten and washed down with lovely wine . George is a very welcoming and charming guy, it was like going to a friends for dinner! If in Corfu definitely do this activity, very highly recommended.

Started with an informative and lovely tour of Corfu town, followed by a sumptuous meal that included the best Greek salad we had while in Corfu (and we made it!). Plus, some darling kittens gamboling around the villa. What could be better?

Definitely recommend this tour! Had a great day with some stunning scenery. The guide was lovely and very knowledgeable about the area. Overall a very good experience.

A wonderful experience largely due to the knowledgeable, funny and warm host. A highlight of our stay.
