Full description
Discover the best of Terceira Island on a guided full-day trip from Angra do Heroísmo. Get picked up and dropped off from your hotel in Angra. The first stop is Monte Brasil, where you can see Angra do Heroísmo from above. Go for a short drive through the city, and then along the southeast coast to the village of Ribeirinha where you can admire panoramic views. Go offroad as you explore the villages of Agualva and Biscoitos, and observe wild bulls in their natural habitat as well as a diverse array of native flora. Have a short break for lunch, then continue on to discover Algar do Carvão volcano, the biggest attraction on the island. Finish the tour with more impressive scenery from the intact natural area in the central part of the island, before being dropped back off at your hotel.

We had a great day with Pedro who shared his knowledge whenever possible. Although we had a lot of rain and fog he was able to fill the day with beautiful places, even hidden gems you won't find on any map or photo. The ride was comfortable and we felt safe throughout the day. There's no chance you can explore and experience this beautiful and traditional-rich island without the help of such a knowledgeable guide like Pedro. We could ask all of our questions and he provided vital information to all of them. The fact that we booked the Jeep tour came to our advantage since we could explore paths away from the touristic routes. Thanks again from all of our hearts, awesome day even though the weather wasn't on our side. TLDR 10/10 would recommend ☺️

Ruben was a really enthusiastic, kind, patient local guide who showed us the really best and hidden treasures of the beautiful Terceira. Going through the woods with the Land Rover was fitting into a fairy tale. Great experience, truly recommended, 5+1 star :)
