ARTIS truly is one of the most enjoyable zoos around. It has a fantastic range of animals, in a wonderful setting. The park is simply gorgeous, with beautiful landscaping and an abundance of gorgeous flowers wherever you look. The animals appear healthy and comfortable, most of them in surroundings that resemble their natural habitats. We are impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the park employees as well. Snacks and drinks inside the park are sold at reasonable prices, which is unusual.

Really good day out, enjoyed every bit of it, especially the planetarium which was in Dutch but we still got a lot out of it. The zoo was big enough, and the elephants had a very large enclosure. The what our was great and we enjoyed seeing all of the children (possibly school children) using oil pastels do draw the reptiles

Love how the zoo is laid out with open cages and beautiful greenery. there's enough space for us humans and the animals and it doesn't feel as if they are trapped in a small enclosures. it feels more like we are walking around their home rather then them on display for us.
