Full description
Feel like a local as you explore the Netherlands' most important highlights on this guided bike tour. Meet your guide at Amsterdam Central Station and hop on the train to The Hague, where your tour begins. Cycle past the city's many royal buildings, including Noordeinde Palace and the Palace Gardens, as well as Binnenhof, where you will learn about the country's political past. At the Peace Palace, learn about the history and development of European peace. From The Hague, cycle along the coast through the Hollandse Duinen National Park and pass through the Hook of Holland, the country's most southwestern point. From there, board the ferry to Rotterdam and experience the hustle and bustle of this iconic port. Afterward, follow the cruise ships and container ships along the coast to the Maeslantkering storm surge barrier. Pay a visit to the Maeslantkering visitor museum and learn how this feat of hydraulic engineering works. Finally, arrive in Westland, also known as the vegetable garden of the Netherlands. Admire the vast amount of greenhouses in the city and visit the Westlands Museum to learn more about the history of vegetable and flower production. After your visit to the museum, hop on the train back to Amsterdam.
