My partner and i took the cultural ganja while on our trip to amsterdam. The tour was great and our guide was lovely and so informative, he dealt with a multi lingual group with astonishing ability, he was incredibly informative, knowledgeable and polite. his talent as a guide should definitely be recognised! The tour had a perfect balance between information, walking and smoking breaks. Thank you very much we will be back.

It was a fantastic tour. The guide was excellent, the best guide I’ve ever met actually. He told us a lot about Amsterdam history and culture, a lot of interesting things and funny stories. This 2-hour long tour gave me more than all the books I read and documentaries I watched. :) Also, the guide was very qualified and answered all my questions. It was a terrific experience. I’ve very satisfied and thankful.

    Crazy!

I'm not sure what I expected, but I honestly wasn't planning on imbibing any ganja. Our guide Eric was personable, funny, caring and knowledgeable. The first stop was an Irish bar (where you could order a drink on your own dime), and Eric took about 15 minutes to explain the history of the ganja laws (non-laws). Ganja is considered a "soft drug" in Amsterdam - similar to alcohol, nicotine, and caffeine. A location can sell only one of these soft drugs, so you cannot drink alcohol and smoke weed in the same place. The next stop was our first "coffeeshop" - no space = cannabis shop. Eric showed us the difference in marijuana types (indiga & sativa), and explained how the coffeeshop menu worked - purchase by quantity, by a single rolled joint, or edibles. Eric cautioned us that if we were going to try it, to take just 1 toke & wait 5 minutes before doing so again. Eric abstained, but everyone in our group tried and enjoyed both a joint and edibles. We laughed the rest of the tour!
