Full description
Begin your 6-hour private tour with a morning pick up from your central Amman hotel. Meet your informative private driver who doubles as your guide, and start out on your explorations of the Jordanian capital’s highlights. As you travel, hear about the history of this fascinating city, whose past stretches back to 3500 B.C. or before. Hear about the city’s days under the Roman Empire, and how it was occupied by the Nabataeans and Byzantines. View one of Amman’s star attractions, the King Abdullah Mosque, famous for its blue mosaic dome, the nearby Parliament Building and Orthodox Church. Next, make your way to Amman Citadel, the hilltop collection of antiquities that looms over the city with a private local guide. Explore the timeworn Roman, Byzantine and early Islamic relics, and pay a visit to the Citadel’s Archaeological Museum to inspect its collections of ancient artifacts discovered at sites from across Jordan. Then, continue to the Roman Amphitheater with its Hashemite Plaza, a magnificent hillside structure believed to have been built in the 2nd century. Admire the symmetry and scale of the theater as your guide explains how it was built as part of the Roman city of Philadelphia, and could accommodate up to 6,000 spectators. Continue to visit the Museum of Popular Traditions to see the exhibition of traditional dress and jewelry. Pass the “Raghadan Palace”, the burial place of the late King Hussein, and ride around the downtown area for free time at its vibrant markets, traditional mosques like the Grand Husseini Mosque, and churches. Then, stroll along Rainbow Street, Amman’s colorful arts and shopping hot spot, passing the Jordan River Foundation and residence of King Talal. Delve into the upscale neighborhoods of “Abdoun” and “Swefieh”, where luxury shopping malls and swanky private villas line the streets. After your classic city tour include the visit of the Jordan Museum marking Jordan’s history. Then proceed to visit the vintage, Hashemite Royalty private collection cars at the Royal Automobile Museum, located in the leafy gardens of King Hussein Park, home of the Late King Hussein beautiful grand elegant Mosque. The museum showcases a rare collection of Jordan's vehicles ranging from King Hussein bin Ali's cars that came to Amman in 1916 A.D. to modern sports cars. Please note that Tuesdays both museums are closed. Your 6-hour tour ends back at your hotel. Alternatively, ask for a drop off at one of the malls on your tour like Galleria Mall, Taj Mall, or at Abdali Boulevard, a stylish new enclave of designer shops regarded as Amman’s up-and-coming downtown area for free shopping time at leisure. • If you are interested in taking a drive in one of the Royal Automobile classic vehicles, please consult us. Option Tour with Turkish Bath: Upgrade to an 8-hour tour and wallow in a luxurious Turkish bath experience, including an invigorating steam room session, soapy scrub, and muscle-melting massage. Then, refreshed and revitalized, relax with your choice of either a hotel or shopping mall drop off – your choice! Option Tour with Arabic Lunch: Upgrade to an 8-hour tour and after your city tour, savor a mouth-watering lunch of “Arabic Mezze” (small cold and hot dishes) at a local restaurant. Enjoy small plates, such as hummus along other starters, salads, and assorted bread with barbecued chicken and beef. After your meal, relax with a hotel or shopping mall drop off - your choice!

As I said in my previous review in Jordan public transportation is very bad. This trip was a bit expensive but organisation was great. The driver picked us up at our hotel and than we visited roman theatre, amman citadel, jordan museum, private car museum and mosque. In the end he brought us back to our hotel. After Jordan museum we went for lunch ,but its up to you when you want to have it. Lunch was delicious, but you have to pay for drinks. Your driver is arranging everything for you. All the time he gave us tickets and let us go. He was waiting for us in the front in car and he said we can come whener we finish, which was super nice cause we had time for everything and we really enjoyed this tour.
