Full description
Start your tour early and head for the Cape of St. Vincent, known by the Romans as Promontorium Sacrum in honor of Saturn. Arrive at the southwestern end of Europe, a picturesque scene. See the red lighthouse that shelters a small museum of the maritime discoveries. Proceed to Sagres, known for Portuguese maritime expansion. Observe the amazing coves on the ocean, vestiges of ancient civilizations and old ruins. Delight yourself with the landscape and the infinite blue covering the skyline. Discover the Fortress of Sagres where Prince Henry the Navigator spent the late years of his life contemplating the unknown ocean. Afterwards go for a walking tour with your guide and explore the old city with its medieval walls that transport us to other times, where some of the first navigators departed from.

A truly enjoyable tour and well worth the money

One of the best tours we've been on. Our tour guide Daniel was brilliant and his knowledge of Portugese history was outstanding. The views were awesome and all the places we stopped at were explaining with good knowledge and such passion. We would definitely use them again if we return to Portugal.

Absolutely incredible! Our guide, Tiago, was excellent. Not only knowledgeable about the history of Portugal but extremely accommodating to what we wanted to see after the boat was unable to go out due to the currents that day. Took us to some amazing caves. A day we will not forget. Wish we could have booked him for our entire trip. Made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Can’t thank Tiago enough!
