Pickup was timely and both our driver (Moody) and our guide (Doma) were both in constant contact before pickup to ensure a smooth tour. After about a 3-3.5 hour drive from Cairo to Alexandria, we picked up our guide and headed to the first stop, the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. This site is policed and they do not allow cameras inside, so make sure to leave this in the car. However, your phone is allowed… We spent about 45-60 minutes exploring the Catacombs which were really interesting since there is Roman, Greek and Egyptian heritage inside! Next we drove to Pompey’s Pillar where Doma provided us with background on the site prior to walking around. He grew up in the area so he knows a lot about the site. Our next stop was the breathtaking Roman Amphitheater of Dom El-Deka. Make sure you stand in the middle of the amphitheater and listen to how your voice echoes, but only while standing directly on the circle. Here we spent about an hour roaming around the site. We did a quick stop by

Fares, the driver was friendly and communicative. We were able to coordinate pick up times easily. His car was actually one of the nicer cars Ive been in while in Egypt. He was a smooth andsafe driver. Doma, the guide, has a palpable enthusiam for this area of study and was able to share his knowledge with the same energy. He was both to juggle my frequent questions and tangents without flinching. Both gentlemen were enjoyable company. And the cost seems to be on par with similarly marketed tours, so the value seems good.

The tour was well planned through various parts of the city, in all they explained the history to us. They even offered us to see other places of our choice. The transport was perfect, a very large and comfortable van for the trip since we came from Cairo.

Tour guide Mohammed Doma is so professional and knowledgeable, letting us know more about the history of Egypt. What a safe and nice Driver Michael, thanks to his 600-km drive bringing us back and forth between Giza and Alexandria.

Excelente experiencia! Con Farez al volante y con Kholud de fui, pude conocer la historia y los principales turísticos de Alejandria. Súper recomendando.
