At first it was hectic cause I pay for my ticket days before I came to San Francisco and I had the barcode on my phone and I still had to wait in line and almost miss the boat I think there should be a better system if you already and don't have to wait in a long line but after that me and my girlfriend enjoy it . We was hoping to do a cruise just to Alcatraz but you don't have one
Really worth it if you do not want a full excursion to Alcatraz or its booked. This was a great way to learn about the island, get some great views and in general learn more SF history. A good way for people with little kids too- to get a wonderful ( shorter) overview.
The advised departure time of 13.00pm was incorrect. Fortunately we had arrived very early for breakfast in the Pier 39 area and were able to take the 11.30am boat. The trip was very informative and apart from the rather cold weather, some great photo opportunities.
Not too crowded, friendly helpful staff to one not so great a techs using online ticketing! Very informative narrative. Great views of GG bridge as we passes under. Very interesting stories and factoids of Alcatraz! ! Well worth the money for 90 minute ride
The boat left on time and it was overall a very pleasant and informative tour. I initially had problem purchasing the tickets on line but I called their support line and it was resolved very quickly and efficiently.
