The travel company met us and left promptly to pick other guests up from other pick up points. Travelled about 1.5h to a rest stop for breakfast. Upon arrival at Alhambra, a local guide ( I assume with the certification) took us through to Alhambra gardens and the castle. While he seemed to be quite an interesting guide, I thought he gave a better spanish commentary than in English. Albaicin walk about after Alhambra was a rather short tour around the Jewish quarter. Quite interesting that would have otherwise cost 15 euros to join (if you had not already signed up for it). Our guide gave us interesting information about the history, geography and economic background of Spain e.g. Olive oil production which I found interesting :)
Communication was very easy. Pick up time was prompt. Roman, our guide, was amazing! He was extremely nice, considerate, and very knowledgeable. He was also able to switch between English and Spanish very naturally. He gave us a history lesson of the surrounding areas during the bus ride to and from Granada as well. The tour guide at the Alhambra was someone else and he too was very knowledgeable and a good tour guide. I wish we had a little bit more free time in both Granada and the Alhambra but with time restraints it’s totally understandable. I would definitely recommend this tour to others as well!
Great guides in Petra and especially Mario/Emilio (sorry forgot his name) However, pick up was very confused - 3 texts and two emails over two days and pick up was 1 hour 15 mins late, although a random text at 2am did advise of the actual pick up time, but it was too random to rely on. Beware, as some lost sleep may be coming your way! Drop off involved a transfer to a private car for spurious reasons.
Long day but worth it. Alhambra is amazing. Our guide in Alhambra (Antonio) was very knowledgeable. That tour was in Spanish and English. Albacin is the old Andalucian part of Granada, with an awesome view of the Alhambra and Sierra Nevada. Roman, our guide from Seville, was patient, friendly and very accomodating. Overall a great experience.
We had a walk around the area & found on the App the Flamenco Show, so we went prompt & it was such an amazing experience. The atmosphere was very familiar & cozy. The dancer was just amazing & my friend + I had a crush on the cute guitar player haha :)
