  • From Fairbanks: Arctic Circle Full-Day Guided Trip

    1. From Fairbanks: Arctic Circle Full-Day Guided Trip

Experience Alaska like you have never seen it before while enjoying a comfortable drive and narration from your expert guide. Travel along the famous and rugged Dalton Highway (well-known from the TV show Ice Road Truckers) to the Arctic Circle, where the summer nights are white and the winter dark. Enjoy a home cooked stew (regular and vegetarian), once you have crossed the Arctic Circle. With exceptional guides, comfortable transportation and personalized service, you will have a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The travel itinerary is flexible to ensure guests can take advantage of unique photo opportunities. The tour will incorporate many stops for your viewing pleasure. Please note that seeing the Northern Lights is not guaranteed.

It was a very enjoyable ride on a beautiful day. It was a long day & that was expected. There were stops for bathroom breaks & stretching your legs along the way & also opportunities to view & take pictures of the spectacular landscape. Our guide, Dave was extremely knowledgeable & very personable & shared many tidbits of info along the way. Lunch was fun! The mosquitoes appear to rival ours in Minnesota. I have a whole new respect for the men & women who drive The Dalton regularly. We were quite surprised at how warm the weather was & thoroughly enjoyed the day.

  • Full Day Ice Museum and Chena Hot Springs Tour

    2. Full Day Ice Museum and Chena Hot Springs Tour

Your worries slip away as you step into the warm and calming pools of Chena Hot Springs. On this rejuvenating day trip from Fairbanks, your senses will be reawakened by a day of rest and relaxation at the Chena River State Recreation Area. Chena Hot Springs are not your ordinary hot springs. The resort makes use of the first low-temperature binary geothermal power plant built in Alaska, and you will be comforted to know that the area provides several alternative energy projects to those big oil pipelines you've seen sprawled out around the state. The warming waters will sooth your body and soul with its powerful effects. The day begins around 11:30 AM or 5:00 PM in Fairbanks, where you will be driven first to an Ice Museum, complete with an ice bar and chandeliers made entirely of ice! Here you will have a guided tour of the museum before venturing on to the Geothermal springs of Chena...

The experience is unique and worth doing. Having lived in Sweden and having visited Iceland, visiting the Arctic Circle from Northern America, was a meaningful target. You get to see plenty of unusual landscapes. Jake is very knowledgeable and provided answers to all questions we had. Probably if the fly visitors on one direction would be a more efficient a way of doing this trip.

Our guide Ricky was very knowledgeable of the area. We had a good snack on the trip and excellent lunch (home made stew). And we had people from all over the world on our trip with us

Very interesting!

Ken our tour guide knew a lot and told us a lot. We also felt very safe with him on the Dalton Highway.
