Mt Toubkal Ascent Express Trek 2 Days 1 Nights

1. Mt Toubkal Ascent Express Trek 2 Days 1 Nights

Challenge yourself to climb the highest peak in North Africa in 2 days. The tour starts and finishes in the vibrant city of Marrakech, and includes transport to and from Imlil. You will trek with a local English-speaking guide, a local cook, and mules to carry your luggage. This is a challenging walk rather than a climb, and anybody in good physical condition can reach the top. Make sure you bring your camera; the views from the summit are spectacular. Mount Toubkal 4167m is the highest peak in North Africa, and is a trekking peak involving no climbing but may involve walking in crampons or holding an ice axe for security (November to April). The itinerary has been designed for keen walkers, as the ascent is non-technical, but does involve some easy scrambling and snow slopes. After the first day spent trekking, you will stay at the refuge where you will spend the night, and enjoy Berber hospitality. After an early breakfast the next day, set off and reach the summit as the sun rises, rewarding you with amazing views. The views from the summit are amazing across the mountains to Marrakech to the north, and the start of the Sahara to the south. During the ascent you will be rewarded with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains, green valleys, and Berber Villages.

What people are saying about Al Haouz

This trip was amazing! I had the wonderful guide Mustafa and he was the best, he was like an old friend straight away. I was a solo female traveller and so a bit apprehensive going alone but I didn’t need to worry - Mustafa looked after me the whole way. He knew everyone up the mountain and I felt like I got a real taste of Berber life - I even had lunch with Mustafa and his family on the final day which was so wonderful - the food is amazing! Would 100% recommend this trip to anyone - such a sense of achievement reaching the summit! The refuge is also great - brilliant food and wonderful, helpful staff. Just FYI you don’t need a sleeping bag (I went in July) as they give you blankets.

Had a great experience with this 2 day atlas mountain trek! Our guide Abdul was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and we so appreciated having him with us for our trek. The transportation to and from Marrakech was seamless and before we went out Abdul thoroughly reviewed our route and details of the trek. The trek itself was very scenic and provided gorgeous views of Imlil valley as well as travel through several Berber villages. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and the food throughout the hike cooked by Syed was delicious! A great experience and a highlight of our time in Morocco.

we had lassen take us up and down- really awesome guy incredibly knowledgeable and very quickly became one of the boys! 100% worth the price all the food was amazing and to some people the thought of a refuge sounds daunting but it was really warm not crowded and the beds were very comfy. we're looking at returning in the winter - thanks again lassen!

It has been an unforgettable experience, full of great moments, all thanks to our guide Lahcen Zin, a beautiful person, a great guide who is very knowledgeable about the mountain, since he is authentic to the area, and a sublime cook, attentive at all times. 100% recommended

A great trip. Everything went to plan. Collection, departure etc went smoothly. Hike was epic, well worth the money and a memory to last forever.
