  • Atlas Mountains Day Trip with Camel Ride

    1. Atlas Mountains Day Trip with Camel Ride

Your driver will meet you at your accommodation (or preferred pick-up point) at 9.00 am to start the transfer to Imlil. On your way you will pass through the town of Tahnaout where you can stop at an Argan Oil Co-operative and learn how the woman of the co-operative turn the Argan nut into many of the different Argan Oil-based products Morocco is famous for. You will then continue on through Asni where, on Saturdays, a traditional Berber Souk and market can be visited. Once you arrive in Imlil you will stop for a welcome glass of mint tea and meet your guide before commencing your tour of the local area. Your guide will help you decide on the length of your tour (you can choose between 1 and 3 hours) and then you will make your way to the largest and highest village in Imlil Valley. Your journey will take you past waterfalls and the hamlets of Ait Mizan, Targa and Imoula. You will stop...

Overall it was nice but there was few things that could be improved. First of all during our first stop to see a village, the guide got a little too deep in the history of the village and Islam in general which was interesting only for first few minutes. The Argan oil house was a nice experience with breakfast and tea served for us there. One thing that was the most disappointing was the camel ride as the spot was just on the side of a road with all the camels tied together so that when we were riding them, camels head was tied to the other camels bum in front of him. It just felt quite uncomfortable and definitely not what we thought it would be.

This trip was one of the most exciting and breathtaking things I have done in my life. All the organizers were so polite and really cared about us. Every small detail was taken into consideration, we were provided the separate transfer as the rest of the group, as we requested, Ahmed organized the mules for us, as we really wanted to ride them, but they were not originally included, so he contacted the local people to bring them just for us, he adjusted the whole trip for us, by including only what we wanted to do. The scenes of nature, including waterfalls, rivers and exceptionally green grass were one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. The service exceeded all the expectations, it was 11 out of 10!!! We highly recommend this trip, it was one of the best days in our lives, mainly due to the amazing organization!

We were met by local guide Mustapha Amazouz and his driver Karim. They were both very friendly and full of useful information about the day. We learnt alot about Moroccan culture, we felt all the information we received was interesting. The Atlas mountains were amazing to see up close after a lovely walk around the local villages. We stopped for a nice Camel ride on way for an hour which was great. Also visited a local shop where we shown the making of oils and soaps.

Great day in the company of Zacharia who made us discover the surroundings of the atlas. We really enjoyed the hike and the kindness of Jamal who invited us to his house for tea. We also ate very well for lunch. Finally the camel ride was very nice. We really recommend this busy day, which allows full discovery far from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech.

Mohammad potatoes and Aziz were very kind and perfect, they assured everyone was happy and satisfied! They were very patient and professional!

Fantastic experience! Like nothing we’ve ever experienced before!
