Full description
Head east from Prague to the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage site of Kutna Hora. Built in the Middle Ages in the midst of an extensive silver ore field, it quickly became Bohemia’s second-most significant town. Its ample mineral assets became the backbone of the Czech economy, enriching the kingdom massively. Next, you’ll tour the town’s Cathedral of St. Barbara, considered one the best examples of late Gothic architecture in Bohemia. St. Barbara was patroness of the miners, and miners would come to the cathedral to receive her blessings. Learn a little bit more about the Czech Republic’s rich history on this walking tour from Prague.

The tour itself was great and Sara is an amazing tour guide: Very kind and welcoming. However, getting to the meeting point was a nightmare. Originally I got an email telling me that I would be picked up at my hotel and that I would receive further details soon. One hour before the tour, I had received nothing so I called and I was told that I had to go a different location. I was given very vague and confusing instructions, so I had some issues finding the spot. Since I was running late, a very rude person called my phone and yelled at me because I was supposedly in the wrong place. They made me turn around only to realize that I was actually walking in the right direction at the beginning. I'm completely disappointed with the way that I was treated before the tour itself began.

Historically very important building, beautiful drive over land.

The individual buildings were very special and deserve UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. Especially the Cathedral of St. Barbara is impressive and the guide in the mint was very informative. The tour guide spoke different languages, but the comprehensibility was very unsatisfactory. She also showed little enthusiasm and communicated only facts, but without dynamics and joy!

All in perfect time and visits as planned.

I would like to show my gratitude in particular with regard to the young lady (lady) who guided us, whose name unfortunately eludes me at this moment. We were few (a California family) and I was the only Italian. She spoke to us with such enthusiasm and completeness worthy of admiration ... as if we had been two hundred people. I value his way of respecting us as a person very positively.
