Full description
Book this half-day Wieliczka Salt Mine excursion and a professional, English-speaking driver will drive you straight to the site, where a local guide will take you through the historic underground city. The Wieliczka Salt Mine dates back to medieval times and has a history of around 9 centuries of salt exploitation. The tourist route through the mine is located 135 meters underground, and is accessible by stairs only. It is an absolutely unique place to visit and is a must-see during your stay in Krakow. One of the major benefits of visiting the Salt Mine is the health benefit of its special climate and its micro-element filled air. There is also the possibility to book Wieliczka Salt Mine and Auschwitz Birkenau tour in one day. If this is the case, the tour will last around 11-12 hours. Excellent half day visiting the salt mines, the transport was on time in a nice and cold air-conditioned bus, the parking was close and the tickets etc were handled without issue. No queuing for entry etc we just walked straight to the front and in we went! Well worth visiting and this trip made it easy to get to - highly recommended Thank you :)

The company in charge of the trip has been really thoughtful. Our driver Gregory gave us all the information we needed and wanted to know and made the process really smooth and enjoyable. In the salt mine we had another guide (provided by the mine itself), and the visit has been exactly what was announced (no bait-and-switch). The trip back has been also very smooth. I highly recommend visiting Wieliczka and learning better about its immense relevance to Cracow. In addition, it holds breathtaking gems really worth exploring!

Pick up was on time, journey took around 20 minutes then our bus guide walked with us to the entrance of the mine and gave tickets on exact hour with directions how and when to get to the check line. Mine was incredible , also kids loved it. Our salt mine guide was great lots of good information and fun. Its bit too little time in the great Kinga chapel which is beautiful so that is disappointing. Was also no time to go to museum of mine machines and salt because we were told we have only 2 hours and 15 minutes to get out and find the bus. It wasn’t that called underground because it’s A/C there only windy so jumper was enough. Overall fantastic trip.
