Full description
This Dubrovnik Sea Kayaking Tour begins with a safety briefing at the park below Pile Gate before you head off with your guide across the channel and around the cursed Island of Lokrum. You’ll make several stops at points of interest along the way. On the 2.5-3 hour tour you’ll be accompanied by a guide that speaks excellent English and is very familiar with the coastline around Dubrovnik. Learn about the curse of the island and the history of Dubrovnik, previously known as Ragusa. Stop at one of the only hotels that was not rebuilt after the war. The hotel was the site of hand-to-hand combat between the Serbian and Montenegrin armies and the Dubrovnik defenders during the war. Spend around 30 minutes at the only beach in Dubrovnik that’s not accessible on foot, and explore a fascinating cave. You can swim, snorkel, explore the cave, relax, eat, or sunbathe. Later you'll continue back along the coastline of Dubrovnik and see the area’s Beverly Hills. This tour will gives you the opportunity to take in Dubrovnik from the seaside, capture some amazing shots of the outer walls, and hear a bit about the history of this legendary city.

Even though I was the only solo traveller in this big group of kayaking, I still had one of the greatest and most breathtaking experiences of my life abroad doing this. Nothing will quite prepare you for just how beautiful it is kayaking by Lokrum Island as well as swimming by Bettina cave. It's actually made me want to do a lot more kayaking in the future. Our guides Denis and Jyonka were incredible in not only providing us with detailed in-depth history and knowledge of Dubrovnik, but really helped teach you the basics and had so much patience.

Theo and Edin were great guides and gave us lots of interesting talks about the history of the areas we went to. We got a sandwich, water and wine included in the activity. The views were stunning, was not too exhausting, crystal clear waters for snorkelling as well as a nice break in a cave where you could cliff jump if you wanted.

Very clear jointing instructions and after meeting we were whisked down to the beech for an induction and kayak allocation. We headed out of the cove under close observation by Jacob and Dennis our guides, after leaving the cove we paddled around The green island “Lokrum” at a leisurely pace and had several rest stops which were a great opportunity for Jacob to give us several informative history lessons and information around the Dubrovnik area.
