It was the perfect zoo for my one year old. I enjoyed that it was pretty low-traffic on a weekday mid-afternoon. The zoo light exhibits were really cool to see in the daytime and I wanted to go back see them at night but it didn’t work with our trip.

A beautiful day and a beautiful zoo. However, the gorilla exhibit was down due to construction and many other animals were not out for viewing. That was very disappointing. The Zoo also had shortened hours because of zoo lights that evening. We also got tickets for the zoo lights and they were wonderful.

Easy to traverse the gardens surrounding the venues. Parking was near the entrance. Go early as not as crowded. Plenty of space to enjoy and view the animals. Granddaughter enjoyed the playground and gift shop after seeing all the sites. I thought the brightly colored theme Chinese animals, lanterns, fish, turtles, dragons were a wonderful addition as you walked along to the live animals areas. Food was decent when needing a break. All in all a shady lovely area to visit.
