Full description

Take a historic and memorable look at the haunted past of Portland, Oregon, with a 1-hour walking tour. Set off on an adventure through downtown Portland with a knowledgeable and experienced guide, and discover the most haunted locations in the area. Make your way to the meeting point at Lan Su Chinese Garden and look out for your guide, who will be carrying a lantern. Begin immediately with the obscure history of the City of Roses before embarking on a haunted route to 8 locations in the surrounding downtown area.

Head to the waterfront, then walk the dark streets to the Old Town Pizza to hear researched stories and eyewitness accounts of personal hauntings in Portland's morbid and mysterious past. From there, the tour only gets spookier as you visit The Shanghai Tunnels to see the firsthand reminder of Portland's shady past where men were kidnapped or "Shanghaied" and sold to ship's captains in need of sailors, and women were captured and forced into illicit work.

Learn about an entire network of vice and illegal trade that began to use these tunnels for gambling, opium dens, prostitution, and kidnapping. Your guide will take you to some of the other most haunted locations and deliver, in gripping detail, the history and eyewitness accounts of hauntings and paranormal activity.

Finally, make your way back to the final stop at Lan Su Chinese Garden, where your guide can give you a final recap of Portland's strange activity. Answer any ghost questions you might have, and check out and exchange any paranormal pictures and activity caught on camera.

This was one of the best ghost tours we have been on . Victoria Rose was quite knowledgeable of the area . All her ghost stories were very entertaining and she was very easy to hear even in the large group we were in. I learned a lot about Portlands history while on this tour. We liked it so much we are considering taking another ghost tour with her . She mentioned an earlier tour where you actually go inside haunted establishments. She also gave out information of websites and YouTube channels where you could even learn more about different ghost happenings that she had talked about , I would give her 10 stars if I could .

Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone that finds paranormal activities interesting. One of the best tours Portland has to offer!

Such a great excursion for such a small price!!! We really delved into the history of this eclectic, unique, and beautiful town. Victoria Rose, our host, was so charming and seemed to find a way to connect to each and every one of our little tour group. She taught us more than just ghost stories and I felt very at peace in her presence even with the ghost vibes lol **spoiler alert** the haunted parking like has a feeling all on its own. Even upon stepping foot onto the pavement I felt a heavy sadness weighing on my chest. Not debilitating, not that it was brought onto myself, but it was just there. It’s hard to describe. Happy note: if you’re into history I highly recommend taking this tour. It’s not just ghost stories, it’s true eye opening history. I’d rate this tour 5,000/5 stars if I could ☺️
