    Explore one of the largest lakes in the Azores on a 3-hour tour of the Lagoa do Fogo by 4WD vehicle. After hotel pickup, first, stop at Pico da Barrosa viewpoint and enjoy panoramic views of Lagoa do Fogo. Surrounded by native trees and beautiful flowers, the lake is best accessed and appreciated by off-road vehicles, getting you to more remote and picturesque areas. During the tour, you will stop at a variety of interesting locations en route, with highlights including the Calderas of Ribeira Grande. See the fumaroles, geysers and a wonderful waterfall of the warm, iron water. Finally, visit the city of Ribeira Grande and taste local liqueurs.

    Nice day all together. View on Lagoa de Fogo , stroll in the park (decided by the group) , view on the coast , quick stop by the ocean. A lot done in half a day. For another time: I’d skip the park time to spend more time at the beach . The guide provided many interesting information about the islands . Transport was rather comfortable, however for the highlights of the tour a 4WD was not necessary.

    Our tour guide Joao is very energetic and knowledgeable to give us detail and history of every place we are visit. We are visiting many places in a half day tour in a small van and we are able to reach places that a big tour bus cannot. I would strongly recommend this tour for others

    Joan und Rodrigo (sorry, wenn ich es falsch geschrieben haben sollte)haben uns direkt vorm Schiff abgeholt, Joan konnte so gar sehr gut deutsch! Die 2 haben uns einen wunderschönen Ausflug bereitet, wir sind an Orte gefahren, die auch abseits der Touri- Hotspots lagen. Wir haben sehr viel von den Azoren erfahren, Geschichte, Land und Leute. Wir können die Ausflüge mit GYG und deren Partnern vor Ort auf jeden Fall sehr empfehlen. Danke für die schöne Zeit!
