Best time to go on a guided tour. Cool and nice with "just enough" people. In addition, an incredibly nice and knowledgeable guide who engaged the group with knowledge and some questions that we, however, had difficulty answering. We should have read a little more about the history of the Alhambra. Or paid more attention during history lessons at school. Instead of going up the steep slope which according to Google Map would take 30 minutes, we took a taxi and we were not fully updated at the meeting point so we were dropped off at the entrance for the regular visitors with tickets. It went completely wrong and we had to rush down to the checkout area after the parking spaces. Read the booking information carefully before. There is also a link to a map for the meeting place, which we missed. The organizer answered the phone and directed us to the right place. And in addition, the guide who was then waiting contacted a late group of six people. There were eight of us in total

Outstanding guide to truly fabulous place. Long queues didn’t bother us as we were led through a side gate! Francisco (our guide) was born in Grenada and his knowledge was second to none! He even took some superb photos for us, using my phone! I had visited Alhambra in the day before but the night tour topped that. We drove for 2 hours to get there but it was truly worth it. The guide is the icing on the cake as you wouldn’t glean the information he supplies if you visited on your own. An amazing experience.

I highly recommend this tour. The atmosphere during the evening is very different to the day time atmosphere. It was great having much smaller crowds during the night tour of palaces. The temperature is much gentler at night, the lights highlight all the details of the palace well and you can see lots of stars, it’s beautiful. The night tour doesn’t feel rushed at all, and it’s gentler on your feet than the day tour. Our tour guide was really nice. She gave great tips for taking photos, and was very knowledgable and went into good detail about the symbolism and differences between the Arab and Catholic architecture. She was able to answer all of our questions well. It is more difficult to take great photos at night time on a phone camera though. We also did feel that the tour should have had the option to start a bit earlier. But, it was still a fantastic tour, well worth the money. Everyone should do this tour and the day tour including General Life. I’d happily go again!
