Full description
Visit the Moscow-City Museum, Russia’s first and only museum of skyscrapers and high-rise construction. Located on the 56th floor of the Empire skyscraper, right in the epicenter of Moscow’s business hub, the museum has an unforgettable panoramic view of the city’s major landmarks from 215 meters above ground level. The museum is divided into two parts, the history of high-rise architecture in Moscow and the history of Moscow City. In the historical part of the exposition, discover how Moscow grew tall, from the bell tower of Ivan the Great to Stalin’s Seven Sisters and the Moscow-City skyscrapers. Uncover the history of creating a city of skyscrapers in the center of Moscow. Find out what was conceived versus what actually came to be. This can be explored in the projections of such prolific architects as Zaha Hadid and Norman Foster, whose work was never implemented, and holds a prominent place on display at the museum.

We thought for a long time about the observation deck, higher on the 89th floor in the Federation Tower, or lower on the 56th floor in the Empire. As a result, they chose the Empire and did not regret it. The excursion is small, but interesting, the views are beautiful, and most importantly, the fog on the 56th floor is much less likely to meet in cloudy weather (by the way, girls from the 89th floor came down with us on the excursion, paid, but saw nothing - just a white haze and that's it ).
