Full description

Embark on a guided tour of Yucatán on a full-day tour from Playa del Carmen. Visit the breathtaking Mayan city of Chichén Itzá and the colorful city of Valladolid. Explore the Yucatán jungles, swim in the Hubiku cenote, and enjoy a buffet lunch.

Head into the dense jungles of the Yucatán and stop at the Hubiku cenote, a cavernous freshwater pool in a light-filled limestone cave and enjoy a swim. Dry off over a buffet lunch of typical Mayan dishes and then hop back on the bus for the last leg of the drive to Chichén Itzá. This dense and sprawling archaeological site features excavated ruins and well-preserved temples. The final stop is the quiet colonial city of Valladolid, where the pastel walls of shops and restaurants provide a colorful backdrop for photos.

day in advance you will receive a clear message with the pick-up location. you go to the cenote first, where you can swim, walk around and get a good lunch. then you will go to the chichen itza, an impressive sight. you end the day in a small local village, where you can walk around for about 30/45 minutes. a long but fun day

A great trip! The booking via the app worked without any problems. We were even contacted directly by the organizer 2 days before (via WhatsApp) when and where we would be picked up (I had specified the hotel when booking). The guides did a good job of explaining the "tour plan" and telling each time what will happen and what to expect. The pickup was actually well organized. We were picked up from the hotel by a mini bus. When it was full (we were the first, then 4 hotels came) there was a "collecting point" where 2 more mini buses were added. All participants then got into a large coach, which was very comfortable for the further distances (also with the good bus toilet). On the way back, the big coach probably drove to all the hotels - since we were the lucky first, I don't know what happened next. A few key facts: our hotel was 10 minutes by car from Playa del Carmen. Pick up time: 7am Arrival time: 8pm

Samuel is the best! Very knowledgeable on the history, culture and civilization of the Mayan people. He was thorough, detailed and very funny! My only one complaint is that not enough time was spent in Valladolid. 40 minutes to tour the town was not enough. Also, less time could be spent at the gift shops at Hubiku, hence giving us more time potentially at Valladolid. Or break this into a separate tour altogether because Valladolid definitely needs more time.
