At first I felt a bit uncomfortable with the idea of the favelas as a tourist attraction. But I am so glad I went. It was a unique experience and we were made feel very welcome and safe. I think it is good to see how a large part of the population in Rio lives. They live in poor and difficult conditions but I was impressed with the sense of community there is. I think visiting is a must and definitely wortwhile.

Superbe mais trop d'attente avant d'entrer dans le chateau

Meeting point was easily found. Transportation was in a mini bus so only a small amount of people to look after. Alberto was the guide who lived in the Favella and he was excellent. Very informative and we felt very safe with him being our guide for obvious reasons. We saw a lot and Alberto had our backs everywhere we went.

Felipe was a very knowledgeable guide, who explained in detail the sociopolitical origins of Favelas. This tour was probably the most meaningful and insightful part of my visit to Rio, as the propagandists obscure the brutal inequality/racism endemic in modern day Brazil.

Very good!! Carlos provided great information, what to expect of the tour, history behind favela’s and really appreciated his enthusiasm…and Bruno was very helpful too…. Really good to walk around the place and understand their community. Highly recommend this tour!

Spectacular tour, and an Excellent tour guide!, Thanks to Gustavo and Get Your Guide app.
