Spinalonga is a fascinating place to visit. As regards the Boat trip from Elounda, our voucher was timed for 1100 but we were able to get on an earlier one with no problem. The captain advised on arrival at Spinalonga that the boat would be returning to Elounda in 1 hour and twenty minutes, however if we wished to stay longer then the boats were every 40 minutes (end of May) and you may not get on the one you want and have to wait longer. There are lots of boats operating from various places so it could be confusing which one to get (no signage) on the return however, they announced the boat as for Elounda when it arrived so no problem :)

It was a beautiful experience including the narrow roads challenge but our driver Costa was an excellent driver and pull it through safely. The whole journey was smooth and pleasant. Costa and the tour guide Anastasia are both excellent. They made sure that we had an enjoyable trip to Elafonisi. The island is beautiful with a crystal clear water. I would recommend to anyone who travel to Crete to not miss this experience.

Balos Lagoon and Gramvousa are one of the most beautiful places to see in Crete. Roughly 2 hrs in Gramvousa to hike up (optional) and swim in the beach. And almost 3hrs to explore the Balos Lagoon which is a large area to swim/explore. The lagoon has shallow waters and you can literally just lie down in the water and enjoy the scenery and the breeze. Tip: Bring water shoes, some areas can be rocky in both places.

The entire sailing trip was very successful and relaxed. At the island of Dia you could snorkel and dive in the turquoise blue water. Dinner was on deck, all in all very harmonious. Very nice skipper Elias and his co-pilot Janis. Thumbs up!

A great day out on the water took us to ‘plague island’. The knowledgeable and passionate guide brought the buildings to life and we had enough time to explore the island and take a break afterwards.
