With a botanical guide you will travel to various locations on Perth’s outskirts in search of the finest wildflowers. Whilst the slope, soils and ancient granite outcrops of the Darling Escarpment are traditionally the ideal habitat and location to view wildflowers, profusion varies daily and is dependent on sunshine.   You will visit locations all around the Perth region where you can expect to find the finest wildflowers to see and smell. Monitoring the progress of wildflowers once in season ensures travel time is minimised. Kings Park is renowned for its wildflowers, plus areas such as Wireless Park, Gingin and Toodyay are also prolific at various times.   An experienced guide will help you identify rare and delicate wildflowers including everlastings, orchids, red and green kangaroo paw, banksias, bottle brush and Western Australia’s most famous orange flowering Christmas trees. There is ample time to identify and photograph flowers, and a complimentary wildflower booklet on Western Australia’s unique wildflowers is included.

Travelling through the Swan Valley, you arrive at New Norcia, home to Australia’s only monastic town which is renowned for its Benedictine Abbey. A little piece of Spain comes alive in this town, full of history, art, and architecture. Hear the local history before viewing the chapel and museum artefacts gifted to the monastery by popes and Spanish royalty. Visit the Famous Benedictine Community with a guided tour of the town and main sites including the museum and art gallery where you will find extraordinary artefacts dating back to when New Norcia was an Aboriginal mission.  Next you will move on to the Abbey Church; home to one of only two large Moser organs, originally crafted in Germany, followed by a visit to St Gertrude’s College, a grand gothic style building which was originally built as a girl’s boarding school and opened in 1908.   You then visit a produce shop selling olive oil, fruit, wine, New Norcia nut cake and breads before enjoying a fish and chips lunch and local breads and olive oil at the historic New Norcia Hotel. Then, head on to the Western Wildflower farm for a brief talk about how Wildflowers are dried and exported. Continue on for an easy paced walk through the mystical Pinnacles Desert and see the Pinnacles from the look out over the park. If time permits, make a visit to the Pinnacle Desert Discovery Centre.  Return to Perth down the Indian Ocean Drive stopping to view wildflowers en route (seasonal), arriving at approximately 19:30.

Witness the powerful 6,500 kilos Anzac Bell ring for 1 minute, up close and through special double glazing glass. Finish the tour on level 6, the beautiful observation deck with views over the Swan River and Perth City. Listen to the guide playing a tune from World War 1 on the coin-operated carillon before receiving your Anzac medallion and certificate. The medallion can be engraved for free at the Perth Mint afterward. Enjoy the views from the deck and if you are still curious, explore the Bell Tower further.

Wat an awesume nite, we will be doing this again ...great hospitality and service from the staff was absolutely amazing and everything was the best. Dinner was absolutely delishes I have never tasted the fish in your sauce ever before and it was delish everything was delish salads were yummy and of cause the desserts were yummo wow so thank you river dinner cruise we will be doing this again..

The food was great, a good variety and very tasty. The DJ played all the hits which got people up dancing. Just an overall fun night.

A nice relaxing tour on the beautiful Swan River where the guide is telling you a little about the history along the way.
