Your full-day excursion begins with a comfortable air-conditioned coach ride along the Highway of the Sun heading from Rome to the Mediterranean coast. You’ll cross the fertile Roman countryside and the area known as Castelli Romani, which is dotted with picturesque medieval villages. After arriving in Naples, you’ll board a jet boat for the 45-minute crossing to Marina Grande, the port of Capri.  Arriving in Capri, you'll be captured by its beauty and colors given by lush vegetation, the visit of the island is followed by a stop for a tasty lunch in a typical local restaurant. You’ll have leisure time to explore Capri at your pace in the afternoon. The journey begins in Rome's charming Trastevere neighborhood, where you will wander through the piazzas and cobblestone streets to an open-air market. Meet Emiliano, who has been running a stand in the market for decades and taste local gourmet products such as cured ham and cheese.  Next, see one of the oldest churches in Rome, the Basilica di Santa Maria, and admire its gilded murals and Cavallini mosaics. Head to the Tiber River and enjoy a 25-minute ride downstream to reach Sant'Angelo Bridge. Take in the views of St Peter's Basilica from Sant'Angelo Castle and regroup for the second part of the tour. Learn about the Via Dei Coronari, known locally as the artists' strip, and walk down to Navona Square to admire the Fountain of the Four Rivers, built by the famous Italian artist, Bernini.
