From Phuket: James Bond Island & Canoe Tour by Longtail Boat

2. From Phuket: James Bond Island & Canoe Tour by Longtail Boat

Paddle a canoe and ride a longtail boat on this multi-stop adventure tour from Phuket with private and shared options. Taste local food, swim at Talu Cave, and visit James Bond Island to see the majestic limestone karsts made famous by the 1974 James Bond movie, “The Man with the Golden Gun.” After pickup from your hotel in Phuket, head straight to the first stop of the day, Wat Suwan Khuha, also known as the Monkey Cave, because of the cheeky primates living in the temple complex. Descend into the cave temple and look at the statues and carvings before making your way to the pier. Next, board a longtail boat and sail to the second stop, Panyee Island, also known as the Floating Village. Built on stilts by the local fishermen, the island has been inhabited since the 18th century. Explore the village, taking in local life, before having lunch at a restaurant in the village. After stuffing your belly with delicious local fare, board the boat again to make your way to Talu Cave. Enjoy some free time to canoe and swim in the beautiful blue water. Explore the cave area, where you will find incredible stalactites and stalagmites and unusually shaped rock formations. Then, continue to the day’s main attraction, James Bond Island. Stop at the perfect viewpoint to see the breathtaking 20-meter rock formation, a solitary cliff surrounded by turquoise waters and cliffs. Admire the unforgettable picturesque scenery before starting the journey back to Phuket.

Amazing day with our tour guide Maria! Highly recommend it. It's different form doing other islands which include snorkelling and swimming. This is great to enjoy long boat ride in a middle of a national Parc which will take away your breath from the beauty of it. The kayaking was really nice as well. James Bond island is observed from a very small beach that has a lot of people (seemed a lot because very small). I can't imagine how busy it can get there after covid restriction are removed for travelling. But apart from that the all experience will be forever cherished and I give also a lot of credit for it to Maria for taking time to take pictures of us, explain the history of everything we saw and mostly being so friendly and smiling all the time despite Ramadan and the hot weather on that day.

Great experience! Had a pleasure of getting familliar with several elephants of diffrent ages, feed them, mud them and bath them. Very relaxed and cool atmosphere of freedom at the place. The staff is very nice and friendly.

Awesome!!! The guide was funny and interactive. He, along with the trainers were very informative and accommodating of everyone's needs, especially since our group were all diverse and communicated differently.

You get to feed the elephants (food you cut yourself), make mud which you massage onto the elephant and you get to wash the elephant.

The trip was really well organized and everything went well. The food at the floating village was very good. A really great trip.
