  • Copenhagen: Roskilde, Frederiksborg & Kronborg Day Tour

    1. Copenhagen: Roskilde, Frederiksborg & Kronborg Day Tour

Enjoy a scenic sightseeing tour of North Sealand on an 8.5-hour excursion from Copenhagen, and visit the royal monuments of Kronborg Castle and Frederiksborg Castle and the World Heritage site of Roskilde Cathedral. Ideal for those who want to explore further than the city center to see as much as possible of historic Denmark, but are short of time, you will travel in a small group for a more personalized experience. The tour includes time to explore the imposing exteriors and interiors of Frederiksborg and Kronborg castles, the latter set on the banks of the Sund between Denmark and Sweden, and most notable as the site of Elsinore in Shakespeare’s “Hamlet.” Soak up the romantic setting of Frederiksborg Castle in Hillerød, surrounded by a beautiful lake and gardens. The guide will take you to Roskilde to visit Roskilde Cathedral, burial site of 39 Danish kings and queens, including In...

Really great tour if you are trying to see a lot in one day. This tour takes you to 4 locations. Our guide was absolutely fantastic. It will feel a little rushed if you are someone who wants to really get into the weeds, then this may not be for you. However, I found the time at all locations to be adequate enough to appease my appetite. The only location where I found that a little more time may have been nice was the cathedral, but it was closing early that day. Overall, the price may seem a little high but the value is how much time you save and having direct transportation to and from the locations. (The bonus was the wonderful guide who answered all questions about Danish culture).

Good experience and very informative. My suggestion would be to have a microphone or something so that people at the back of the vehicle can hear the guide, especially if people in the front of the vehicle are talking.

This is a good tour where is allows you to see southern Sweden in a day. However, you just get dropped off in Lund and Malmo and you have to manage your activities. You are in each town for about two hours. The bus driver provides details of the history of the town, historic buildings etc. while on the bus on your way to your destination. The bus is clean and the bus driver is knowledgeable and informative.
